Abstract

Background. The segmental arteries of human kidney were determined with different branching variants of the intraorgan arterial channel.
Materials and methods. 3-D analysis of 116 previously obtained corrosion preparations of human kidney arterial system was performed. Corrosion preparations were subjected to 3D scanning.
Results. In the arterial bed of the kidney, there is a difference in the number of vessels of the third and fourth devision levels. The number of these vessels in most cases, if we count the third level, can reach 10 or more branches. Segmental arteries can be vessels of both III and IV orders. The division of the kidney artery occurs in accordance with six types. Arteries of the second order are represented by upper pole, lower pole, central, ventral and dorsal branches. With the main type, there are pole, interlobar (segmental), arc and interlobular arteries. In the loose type, there are interlobar (segmental) arteries of I, II orders.
Conclusions. The results obtained indicate the sexual and individual anatomical dimorphism of the kidney segmental arteries. The fields of application of the obtained results are the departments of morphological profile, as well as radiation methods of research, urology, cavity surgery and transplantology.
